Months of being strictly regulated led to economic hardship for many.
Some businesses never recovered. Social distancing, strict hygiene protocols, and mandatory wearing of masks added to the stress of trying to live a normal life. Some people have expressed a wish to move to a desert island and live there all by themselves. The lockdown experience gave a whole new dimension to that thought. People did not enjoy being separated from their family and peers. Many suffered what has been called Lockdown Fatigue.
Psychologists say the foggy thinking and difficulty concentrating is due to our brains over-processing all the new experiences and ways of doing things. The uncertainty of the times has caused stress and impaired thinking, and many people became depressed as a result. Some even committed suicide. Christians are not immune to this kind of negative impact, but the good news is there is an answer to this dilemma.
We can be overcomers despite our circumstances. We are going to follow seven Old Testament believers who experienced lockdown during their lifetimes.
