Résumé
When Franklin runs onto Mary Lou, he never realizes that she needs saving. She appears successful on the surface since she lives in an expensive house and is married to a bank vice-president. Over a hamburger, they catch up on old times since they had dated in high school. It didn't take long for him to find out that she is unhappy and not successful. He is living the life he wants and enjoys fishing and hunting with his coon hounds. He works enough to get by and lives in a small shack.
After she divorces her husband, Mary Lou becomes a successful real estate woman. She hires Franklin to do repair work on her house listings. He is pleased to get the work, but worries that she has personal motives. At first you think that Franklin is the one that needs saving, but after a while you realize that it is Mary Lou that needs saving. Franklin helps her learn to relax and become a stronger and better woman.
Franklin looks at life totally differently than most people. He is funny and gets himself into a lot of problems he causes himself. This novel has not explicit sex and no profanity.
