Running from her Past

As she entered the spacious living room, now minus any furniture, her gaze traveled to the full length mirror lining the far wall. Her eyes drifted over her reflection in the glass sizing up what she saw. A dark haired young woman with a curvy body stared back at her. Cass's tight jeans hugged her curves showing them off to advantage in all the right places. She reached up and automatically loosened the top button on her blouse exposing her full breasted creamy cleavage.
Her small petite features were highlighted by violet colored eyes enhanced by long dark curling lashes and a short nose. Lips that looked pouty completed the overall picture of Cassidy Roberts. Cass's thoughts returned to her affair with Mathew. She had become engaged to him after a whirlwind courtship, but when she got caught up in the shooting, he quickly vanished from her life. She hadn't hesitated in mailing his ring to him.
She wondered if she would ever be able to drop her guard and enjoy another relationship with someone else. There had to be someone out there that would measure up to her expectations. She swept the thoughts aside and picked up her handbag heading for the door. After she locked the apartment, she put the keys in the slot used for returning items to the landlord. There was no turning back for her now as she headed to her car.
