Rook & Quinn: The Silver Crest Overnight

When the overnight train from Chicago to Denver departs on schedule with two hundred passengers aboard, none of them expect the journey to end with a body in the dining car and the doors sealed shut somewhere in the middle of the Nebraska plains. As a sudden mechanical failure strands the Silver Crest for hours on an isolated stretch of track, private investigator Lucian Rook and criminal profiler Elara Quinn - both travelling separately for entirely unrelated reasons - find themselves the only two people aboard capable of untangling a killer's identity before the train finally reaches Denver Union Station.
With no way off, no way to call for help beyond the train's own crew, and a murderer who clearly has no intention of stopping at one victim, Rook and Quinn have only the hours remaining until sunrise to expose the truth before the Silver Crest delivers its final passengers into a city that has no idea what's rolling toward it.
