Arthur Lind, a lonely writer, is deeply mired in a creative block. His novel, The Kingdom of Dreams, is progressing slowly, and the fate of the protagonist, Erik, has come to a standstill. Over time, Arthur finds himself developing complex feelings toward Erik, even unintentionally forming an emotional resonance with him. However, what Arthur never anticipated was that the characters he created would begin to resurrect in the real world.
It starts with subtle signs-an unexplained message: "If you read this page, remember, I do not intend to die." Then the characters begin to actively intervene in his creation, even appearing in various forms in reality. Arthur is drawn into an uncontrollable whirlpool of creation. His characters start to exhibit independent consciousness, even demanding that he change their destinies, and Arthur's mind begins to unravel as he struggles to distinguish between fiction and reality.
As Erik and the other characters rebel, Arthur's life is completely eroded. He starts to realize that his relationship with these resurrected characters is not merely that of creator and creation, but a profound dependency. He must make an ultimate choice: to continue creating and live alongside these characters, or abandon his creations and return to a world without them?
