Promise Me

When he's thwarted from completing his suicide plan, Luc hits the road, planning to hitchhike his way to his grandparents place in Mexico.  Yet even that plan goes astray when a young woman picks him up and gives him a ride and a hot cup of coffee. Luc is drawn to Jenna in ways he doesn't understand. She is unlike any other girl he has met. Recognizing the weariness and desperation in her demeanor, Luc spontaneously volunteers to help Jenna and her family on their cattle ranch. Jenna is shocked when she sees the young man on the side of the highway.  She was in the woods that fateful day and is sure she is the reason he ran away from his hidden campsite.  Now he's here, alive, and offering to help her family in their time of need on the ranch.  It doesn't hurt that he's gorgeous with startling ice blue eyes and tanned skin. As she gets to know Luc and the reasons why he was running away, she finds it harder to broach the subject of the rope that is now hidden under her bed. When Luc's past catches up to him, Jenna fears he is going to leave her and maybe finish what he started those long months ago.  Can she convince him that life is still worth living, even if he breaks her heart.  Can she convince herself?
