I do not recall much of my childhood. I have blocked it out and repressed a great deal of my experiences in order to just get through the day to day. I remember it in a broad sense and will try to put it into some perspective for you.  Perhaps as I write this, and allow myself to remember, things will be exposed that I have forgotten.  I will be as honest with you as I can be with myself. I have known a few others who I suspect were also raised by Psychopaths.
Of course they could never admit there was anything "different" about their parent (usually the mother), but their behaviour and experiences were similar to my own. I have also met a few significant others who did not understand the behaviour of their partner and upon further discussion, I knew exactly what their partner was living through. It is not something easily explained, and I hope this book will help significant others understand why their partner reacts the way they do in certain circumstances.
They truly cannot help it! If nothing else, remember, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
