Postcritica. Asignificanza, materia, affetti

Scrivere un libro contro la critica non avrebbe alcuna importanza, perché solo importa ciò che crea concetti capaci di tracciare nuove linee. Queste pagine segnano invece il primo gesto postcritico della postcritica, ovvero la rivendicazione del "post": essa reagisce all'inflazione di un suffisso con un esercizio deflattivo. E se la deflazione è la diminuzione del livello generale dei prezzi, la postcritica svaluta sé stessa senza clamore.
Essa guarda infatti al minuto, all'interstizio, ai legami che intessono la trama della vita ordinaria, e rifiuta la "proiezione strutturale" delle teorie generali. Ma non è certo una propensione all'agone con la più blasonata delle creature filosofiche, la critica, che fa caricare la postcritica di un suffisso così compromettente. Il "post" non evoca un prima e un dopo, né calca il congedo da una genitrice indesiderata; è piuttosto un "segno", un "cenno", un "signpost", che richiama l'attenzione sul "dove si sta".
Siamo in un mondo che certo non abbisogna dell'addio alla critica, ma che alla critica richiede di fermarsi un istante, di accorciare le distanze tra teoria e pratica, di collocarsi sulla superficie dove le cose accadono e si compongono. La postcritica di cui questo libro parla vuole inaugurare un maggese del pensiero filosofico, fatto di contaminazioni disciplinari con l'antropologia, la sociologia, la letteratura, la fisica, la botanica e tante altre, che possano indicare alla filosofia, plenipotenziaria della teoresi, come ascoltare, leccare, odorare e toccare. It would be pointless to write a book against critique, because the only thing that matters is creating concepts that draw new lines.
This is why these pages emphasize postcritique's first postcritical gesture, that is, laying claim to the "post": it reacts to the inflation of this suffix with a deflated exercise. And while deflation is the decrease in the general level of prices, postcritique devalues itself without any clamour. For it pays heed to the minute, to the interstice, to the ties that weave the texture of ordinary life.
It rejects the "structural projection" of general theories. Yet it is not the aversion to the noblestof the philosophical creatures-critique-that leads postcritique to take up such a compromising suffix. The "post" does not conjure any before and after. It does not mark any break with an unbeloved parent. Rather, it is a "sign, " a "beckon, " a "signpost" drawing attention to "where we are." Although we live in a world that certainly cannot afford to dispose of critique, the latter is called upon to stand still for a moment, to reduce the distance between theory and practice, to find position on the surface where things happen and give life to compositions.
The kind of postcritique this book dwells on inaugurates a fallow period for philosophical thought with an eye to producing disciplinary contaminations with anthropology, sociology, literature, physics, botany, and many others. Only in this way can philosophy-mighty lord of theoretical thinking-become able to listen, lick, smell and touch.
