Once Upon a Nightmare

Elias Thomas awakens from a disturbing fever dream to find his reality shattered. His wife is dead, and his daughter, Lily, lies cold at his feet. The climax sees Elias following Junior's toy soldiers into an impossibly vast park, where he confronts a doppelganger of himself, his "Nightmare Self, " a manifestation of his profound grief and rage, engaged in a ritualistic act. The resolution requires Elias to make a devastating sacrifice. To truly save Junior and break the cycle of the nightmare, Elias must embrace his role as a permanent guardian within the distorted realm, ensuring the darkness that has consumed his reality cannot follow his son back into the safety of the waking world.
