Résumé
Der Band enthält größere Untersuchungen und kleinere Miszellen zu Werk und Wirkung des großen Liederdichters Paul Gerhardt. Umfassend in den Blick genommen werden das Bild im Altarretabel der St. Moritzkirche Mittenwalde, mutmaßlich des dortigen Pfarrers Inspiration zu »O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden« , sowie anhand einer erhaltenen Leichenpredigt sein Umgang mit Trauer, Sterben und Tod. Zwei Beiträge widmen sich der Rezeption des profilierten Lutheraners in reformierten Gesangbüchern.
Thema sind außerdem Anagramme in »Ist Gott für mich, so trete« und »Befiehl du deine Wege« und die Bedeutung von »Geh aus mein Herz« und weiteren Liedern im Werk der Bachmann-Preisträgerin Helga Schubert. Mit Beiträgen von Anja Conrad, Konrad Klek, Irmgard Scheitler und Susanne Weichenhan. [On the Work and Impact of Paul Gerhardt. It examines comprehensively the picture in the altar retable of St. Moritz church in Mittenwalde, presumably the inspiration for »O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden« , as well as his handling of mourning, dying and death on the basis of a preserved funeral sermon. Two contributions are devoted to the reception of the prominent Lutheran in Reformed hymnals. Other topics include anagrams in »Befiehl du deine Wege« , the discovery of a Gerhardt forgery, and the significance of »Geh aus mein Herz« and other songs in the work of Helga Schubert, winner of the Bachmann Prize.
