Résumé

At its core, Not Enough Words explores the depths of emotion and the boundaries of language, illustrating how, in the face of profound loss, words can falter, yet human connection can still function as a therapeutic tool....characters are not merely survivors; they are mirrors that reflect the experience of enduring when the world has been rewritten by disaster. The hurricane is not only a physical force, but also a symbol of transformation, compelling each character to confront what is truly important....
With clarity and compassion The Hurricane Helene Series' inaugural installment, Not Enough Words is a deeply human and emotionally resonant narrative.... With clarity and compassion, the novel illustrates the human spirit's fragility and strength in the face of chaos and devastation of a natural disaster. Through a profound sensitivity to the profound ways in which catastrophe can reduce life to its most basic components, Bradshaw's writing reveals the unvarnished realities of survival, love, and loss.
The Book Revue
I write edgy, contemporary novels. My rookie pastor drinks (a little), swears (too much) and rarely has the correct Biblical answer. There are no easy answers, prayer never works, but barely, kinda, somewhat happy endings abound. Just like real life. But the next day, he gets out of bed, walks his three-legged dog named Lucky, and leads with love. Subjects include: Teen suicide, (mis)treatment of the elderly, drug abuse, sexual abuse, dogfighting, single parenthood, gay/lesbian issues, racism.
Real people dealing with real life.__________I have bussed tables, operated robots, worked in HR, served in the National Guard, and worked in hospital management. I live in western North Carolina with his wife. My daughter and grandkids live too far away, and my neighbors live too close.
