This tale follows a dog named Mr. Bunny, who lives in a community of dogs that know lions are their enemies. One day, while chasing a rabbit, Mr. Bunny accidentally enters the lions' territory. Surprisingly, the lions greet him kindly and treat him like a guest. Over time, Mr. Bunny begins visiting the lions often and enjoys their hospitality. As food becomes scarce, the lions ask Mr. Bunny to bring one of his relatives so they can eat him.
Mr. Bunny agrees and starts tricking his brothers, one by one, into visiting the lions, who kill and eat each of them. Eventually, all the dogs in the community are gone. Years pass, and the lions become old and weak. When Mr. Bunny visits them again during a time of hunger, the lions hold a meeting and decide to eat Mr. Bunny himself. The very friends finally eat him he relied on for survival
