Résumé
Migration is a classical transversal matter that fosters research in a variety of disciplines. Interdisciplinary exchange, however, is rare. The Yearbook on Migration and Integration Research contributes to filling this gap by documenting the issues and results of Austrian research in this field on a regular basis. The contributions in the present first volume discuss both classical topics, such as asylum, citizenship and discrimination, and more recent aspects such as the European care labour market, sham marriages or the importance of migration for the media and art.
Specific sections provide insight into recent theoretical and methodological apporaches and broach the question how research results can be translated into practice. The Yearbook addresses not only the German-speaking research community, but also a broad audience interested in new approaches to questions related to migration.
