Résumé

Food as medicine" has many different interpretations. However, in general, it refers to placing a high focus on nutrition and diet in a person's health plan with the aim of preventing, reducing the symptoms of, or even treating a chronic condition. Avoiding fat, eating fewer calories, or merely cooking your meal is not examples of healthy eating. To form healthy eating habits, a well-balanced, nutritious diet must be followed; this necessitates that each meal be taken in the right amount, at the right time, and with the right variety of foods.
Avoid totally eliminating lipids, as well as getting too much fiber and protein! Additionally, bear in the mind that as children are still growing cognitively and physically, a variety of meals should be offered to them. You are aware that nutrition significantly affects mood, energy, and weight. In addition to recognizing the impact of nutrient shortages and excesses on health, some foods have the ability to both prevent and cure illness.
Nutritional science has undergone significant advancements over the past century, including the identification of essential nutrients and the documentation of the biochemical pathways that connect them, the definition of nutrient reference values, and the RDI needed to avoid nutritional deficiencies and formulating dietary recommendations that call for cutting down on fat and increasing intake of fruits, vegetables, and fiber, as well as creating food pyramids and other meal planning aids.
The majority of morbidity and death in contemporary cultures are caused by chronic illnesses including heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and cancer, which are significantly influenced by diet.
