Das Thema Religion ist nicht mehr allein in der Theologie zu Hause, und die Geschichte des Christentums nicht allein in der klassischen Kirchengeschichte an Theologischen Fakultäten. Der vorliegende Band geht auf eine Tagung zurück, in der theologisch und religionswissenschaftlich verortete Fachvertreter und -vertreterinnen in fruchtbarem Miteinander Fragen ihres Fachs diskutierten. Um einzelne weitere Beiträge ergänzt, präsentiert der Band methodische Grundlagenarbeiten, Beiträge zur Fachgeschichte und komplementär aufeinander bezogene Einzelstudien von der Antike bis ins 20.

Its aim is to deepen scholarly reflections on disciplinary customs and principles and to inspire further dialogue.
