Résumé

Ang Kalayaan ng Migrante ay aklat ng mga tula at larawan na tumutukoy sa personal at sa mas malaking kontekso ng buhay ng mga Filipino bilang  manggagawa sa labas ng Pilipinas. Bilang isang mamamahayag sa Hong Kong na nananatiling aktibo sa komunidad, naisalarawan ng may-akda sa kanyang mga tula at larawan  ang buhay at pakikibaka ng mga Pilipinong nasa ibang bansa, partikular ang mga nagtatrabaho bilang mga dayuhang kasambahay.  Ang tula ni Corazon ay naglalarawan ng buhay ng kanyang mga kababayan bilang ina, anak at manggagawa na nahaharap sa pang-araw-araw na katotohanan ng pagkawalay sa kanilang mahal sa buhay resulta ng sapilitang migrasyon.
Samantala ang mga larawan naman ay naipakita ng  pagkakaisa  at pagsasama-sama ng mga migranteng Filipino tuwing araw ng kanilang pamamahinga na isang beses lamang sa isang linggo na makikita sa ilang bahagi ng Hong Kong, tulad sa parke, tulay, kalye at ibang pang bahagi ng Hong Kong. 
Corazon Amaya-Canete is a broadcast tv journalist living in Hong Kong. As a reporter, poet, and visual artist, she is a passionate advocate of the rights of migrant workers. Two of her poems published here are winners of the Gawad Ka Amado (GKA), Amado V. Hernandez Resource Center, Inc .: "Kalayaan ng Isang Migrante", 3rd Place, Tula, 2004; and "Manifesto ng Migrante", 1st Place, 2005. Two of her other poems, "Pitongpu't Pitong Puting Tupa" and "Mahirap Mahimbing" were included in the First Annual Festival of Woman's Poetry at the US Library of Congress. Her photographs have been exhibited at the HK Cultural Center; Central Library, and Hong Kong University, Internationally, they were also shown in Vienna, Austria, and at the Guangdong Museum of Art during the Guangzhou Triennial, and a solo exhibition at Goethe Institut, German Cultural Center in Hong Kong. Cooking delicious Filipino food is one of Azon's passions when she is not doing a tv news report. .
