Résumé

In the tide-bound Amish island community of Emma's Archival Quest, secrets are as deep as the ocean and as tangled as the cedarwood forests. Emma Yoder, the devoted town archivist, thrives amidst cedar smoke and salt air, driven by her mission to preserve her community's fading history. But her serene world is shaken when she encounters a discrepancy in the ferry count-a single passenger unaccounted for, a mystery that reveals unsettling truths beneath the island's tranquil surface.
As Emma embarks on a quest to uncover the truth, she faces boundary claims, financial inconsistencies, and hidden maps that entangle her in a web of deception and manipulation. The island's Mennonite values of simplicity and mutual care are tested, and Emma must grapple with her faith and the town's trust, pondering whether keeping the sabbath is a divine assurance or an unsustainable tradition. Amidst a council meeting shrouded in secrecy and a community enveloped in skepticism, Emma perseveres.
Her journey through dusty ledgers and fading maps becomes a testament to her faith, as she navigates the blurred lines between tradition and truth. With each step, Emma faces mounting challenges and finds herself at the heart of a long-buried reality that might change everything for the community she holds dear. Join Emma Yoder in "Jacob's Last Request, " a cozy mystery that weaves faith, history, and suspense into an unforgettable tale of courage and conviction.
Will Emma unravel the mystery before the archives are relocated, or will the island's secrets remain buried beneath the tides forever?
I am a committed Christian, and I love to write. Storytelling is my passion. I became interested in Amish culture when I visited Lancaster, Pennsylvania, as a student. I found it to be a fascinating culture and way of life. The Amish way of life has survived and remains as strong as ever, even in our modern society. Sometimes, I long for their simple lifestyle and close-knit family units myself-but only in my daydreams, as I love modern conveniences far too much!I hope you enjoy reading my Amish Love Stories series as much as I enjoy writing them.
