Résumé
Congratulations, sharing your life with a puppy is a pleasure and honor. Our 12-page book How to Train Your Puppy is the first book in our series of Dog Training books designed as an introduction to training your first puppy. Puppies can be a lot of fun and give many years of love and companionship. It's important for both you and your puppy that you train them properly so they know what types of behavior is expected and what is not.
Your puppy will quickly respond to positive instruction and once you set the boundaries your new pet will become a happy, loyal and healthy member of your family. Puppies have short attention spans, so need brief lessons regularly. They respond well to food-lure training, but if they cannot respond you should never resort to negative treatment such as the stick and carrot method as this will cause them to fear you, not trust you and develop anxiety problems.
By treating your puppy with respect and kindness, you will quickly develop a strong lasting bond that will help you seal your relationship. Puppies need to understand socially acceptable behavior, house training, and how to follow simple instructions. From these basics, we can further train them when they mature to have a full and happy life with you.
