Hopes, Dreams and Reality

Justin and Mindy bought a homestead. She loves this life. He goes back to driving a truck. He wants her to sell and go back to driving. Mindy's place is ten miles from town and in the direct path of a Category 5 hurricane become a tropical storm spreading disaster in its wake. More than a year's worth of rain falls in four days leaving her road washed out and blocked by fallen trees, the phone dead, the electricity out which takes out the water pump.
During the storm Mindy finds out Justin has been lying to her for years. All her life Mindy has believed a good wife obeys her husband. She wants to be a good wife. Justin is lying to her. He wants her to resume a life she no longer wants. This means giving up the life she has and loves now. Once the storm is over and the road is repaired, Mindy must have her decision.
