Résumé
This story, "Gilgamesh Told True: The Huluppu Tree" reimagines the Sumerian poem of "Gilgamesh and the Huluppu Tree." The story tells of Gilgamesh's heroic act of cutting down a snake infested, demon occupied tree from which Goddess Inanna could have a bed fashioned, and provides an imagined backstory leading up to the confrontation with the demon, Lilith. This is the fourth story in the series, He Who Saw the Deep Reimagined.
The series is a continuation of the Pumi in Sumeria series that told of the later years in Pumi's life, not detailed in the seminal novel Tallstone and the City: A New Heaven and Earth.
