Gilgamesh Told True: The Song of Shamhat, reimagines the opening lines of the Akkadian epic "He Who Saw the Deep" wherein the gods are angry with the tyrannical rule of King Gilgamesh. They create a wild man powerful enough to challenge the king's authority and then send a prostitute to civilize the wild man. This is the story of that prostitute told true. A story that strips away the myths and labels to reveal the soul of Shamhat; an intellectual "Temple of Inanna Junior Priestess" driven by ambition to understand the world in which she lives ...

The series is a continuation of the Pumi in Sumeria series that told of the later years in Pumi's life, not detailed in the seminal novel Tallstone and the City: A New Heaven and Earth.
