Résumé
Aged forty-four, I went up three dress sizes and gained a belly I'd never had before. THIS IS HOW I LOST THE WEIGHT. FOUR ways to regulate your hormones and return to homeostasis, for women in their forties/those on their perimenopause journey. SAFE. NATURAL. SIMPLE. No hidden costs or tricks. No complicated systems or diets. Just four behavioral changes you can implement at home. For each step there's a RULE, a REASON, and a ROUTINE (how I implemented it).
We won't be counting calories or weighing ourselves. We won't be restricting our food intake. We will be balancing hormones and then enjoying the health benefits of being in homeostasis, such as weight loss. To be clear. This book isn't about telling women to be smaller. This book isn't for people who want to get shredded or lose a large amount of weight. This book is for those who went up a few dress sizes in perimenopause and who want to return to their homeostatic size.
This is what worked for me. Please note, that while I have PhD in health psychology and know a lot about the mind-body relationship, I am not a medical doctor. Nor am I a dietitian. But my years of being interested in health (and fitness), combined with my science and research background, puts me in an excellent position to offer advice. This book is, essentially, a curated list of expert advice I've collected over the years distilled into four easy steps. Within a few weeks, I saw a reduction in belly fat.
I also now have easier to manage periods, less anxiety, and better bowel movements. With those results, I knew I had to share my approach. Four simple steps. This is what worked for me. Drop those dress sizes and live your best life. FOUR FOR FORTY
