For Martha, Emily's growing desire to be close to her "new" mother becomes another problem, along with the love live of her Detective partner and the self-esteem crisis of her real surrogate daughter, whom Emily believes takes much too much of her mother's time. As more murders occur all of their lives become intertwined.
Is one, or more, of them a murderer? Reluctantly, Martha has to put her fears for all of them aside and follow the evidence until it breaks her heart or kills her.
