Biographie de Robert Harris
Robert Harris is the author of fifteen bestselling novels: the Cicero Trilogy - Imperium, Lustrum and Dictator - Fatherland, Enigma, Archangel, Pompeii, The Ghost, The Fear Index, An Officer and a Spy, which won four prizes including the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction, Conclave, Munich, The Second Sleep, V2 and Act of Oblivion. His work has been translated into forty languages and nine of his books have been adapted for cinema and television.
He lives in West Berkshire with his wife, Gill Hornby.
Robert Harris décrit avec justesse ce qu'aurait pu être l'Empire allemand et le monde si Hitler avait gagné la Seconde guerre mondiale : un Etat dictatorial bien installé, un peu à l'image de l'URSS à l'époque de la Guerre froide, un Etat de non droit, de délation reconnu pourtant par les autres pays à cause de sa puissance (membre d'une union européenne et interlocuteur privilégié et craint des Etats-Unis), où une histoire réécrite fait disparaître la "question juive".
Un Etat où un policier ne sait plus s'il est le gibier ou le chasseur et s'il doit élucider les meurtres. Terrifiant mais d'un réalisme implacable.
