Hallways hung with miracle photos lead to a cold operating room and a file that shouldn't exist: transfers to private galleries (Athena, Bellwether, Crowne), blank lines where a surgeon's license should be, and a paper trail tying Harlan Whitaker to Vivian long before he sold her "pattern."Upstairs, Athena glitters.
Under chandelier lenses and donor smiles, Vivian forces a demonstration-glass lifted, her negative under museum light. Jack lets the camera read the real caption: complaint letters, a Nevada marriage certificate, credentials left blank. Security tightens; the room changes pressure. Jack ducks to Records, photographs a decade of bid sheets-the same initials recur: A. M. Not a place. A person. The private gallery edges toward lockdown as Vivian claims what was taken and declares the room closed.
On the balcony, a man with a coat too good for a tech steps into the lantern glow. Jack greets him by the initials he's been hiding behind. The magnet on the service door clicks. Everything moves. Episode 18 is the reveal beat: mirror turned on the seller, the buyer finally in frame, and the gallery caught between provenance and crime scene.
