Biographie de Nicoladie Tam

Dr. Nicoladie Tam, Ph. D., is an author and a university professor with a doctoral Ph. D. degree in Physiology, and three bachelor's degrees in Computer Science, Physics, and Astrophysics. She uses innovative teaching methods to engage and challenge the learners to actively participate in the learning process. The books that she has written are intuitive, easy to read and understand because she applies the theories of learning gained from her neurobiological research into the real world. The pedagogy uses immediate feedback to provide answers to the questions instantly to accelerate the rate of learning and knowledge acquisition.
It is an interactive and self-paced method that allows students to explore knowledge modularly and incrementally without a pre-defined path of exploration. The effectiveness of the teaching methods was tested from teaching courses in biology, animal physiology, neuroscience, neuropsychopharmacology, neuroengineering, computational neuroscience, and research methodology. The brain-compatible pedagogy was inspired by the results of her brain research.
The research identifies how the brain processes decisions cognitively and emotionally using optical brain imaging to study neurodynamics. She pioneered research in studying how decisions are affected by emotional feedbacks using a neurobiological model of emotions that she created.
