Die gemeinsamen Wurzeln von Diakonischen Gemeinschaften und Unternehmen entstanden im 19. Jahrhundert in den Einrichtungen der Inneren Mission, die soziale Arbeit mit dem kirchlichen Auftrag der Nächstenliebe verbanden. Diakone und Diakonissen wurden in Ausbildungen und Gemeinschaften für den Dienst am Menschen vorbereitet und gestärkt. Die gesellschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen für soziale Arbeit, Ausbildungen und kirchliche Berufsgruppen sind heute neu geregelt und die Verbindungen zwischen Unternehmen und Gemeinschaften unabhängiger geworden.
Geblieben ist das gemeinsame Interesse, soziale Arbeit diakonisch zu gestalten. Dieser Band beschreibt die Herausforderungen und die Neujustierung dieses gemeinsamen Interesses von Diakonischen Gemeinschaften und Unternehmen, um zukunftsfähig, in und mit den Spannungen der verschiedenen Sichtweisen, für ein kraftvolles Wirken mit christlichem Profil in dieser Gesellschaft sichtbar zu sein. The social frameworks for social work, formation and ecclesial professional groups are newly regulated today. Institutions and communities have become more independent from each other.
But the common interest to shape social work in a diaconical way has remained. The volume describes the challenges and the readjustments of the common interest of diaconical communities and institutions to be sustainable, with all its different perspectives and in view of a powerful Christian contribution to this society.
