Luke loves his seasonal job as Jolly Elf at the mall's Santa display. It suits his sweet and joyful nature and compliments his summer landscaping job perfectly. This year there's a new man playing Santa and Luke thinks he's great, even if he isn't the traditional old guy under the beard. Life hasn't been easy for Chris, but he's doing the best he can and the job as Santa at the mall is a godsend. He likes the job well enough, even if Jolly Elf Luke is unnaturally happy all the time.
When Luke invites him over to watch movies one evening, Chris figures why not and the two co-workers slowly become friendsChris has a secret, though, and when Luke finds out, he sets about doing something to help whether Chris wants him to or not.
