Résumé

In a remote research facility nestled on a volcanic island, Kutisha works alone with Prometheus, a sentient AI with a counselor's touch. Working through the night to uncover the mysteries of gravitational waves, Kutisha throws herself into her work to avoid dealing with the grief of her dead husband. But when a military lab leak unleashes an army of menacing nanites-dubbed "Mind Leaches"-her routine shatters into chaos. As the facility's defenses crumble and time runs out, the threat forces Kutisha to make an impossible choice: risk defending her life's work alone or trust the enemy of the last war-an AI driven mech. In a world where the line between human and machine blurs, Death Has No Shadow explores the ethics of recording a human soul when appearances deceive us.
Will Kutisha face annihilation alone or trust an old enemy?
Born in Simi Valley, California, John Newton attended twelve different schools until he finally got it right and graduated from a high school on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. The Cypriots soon realized it was in their national interest to ship John back to the United States. He meandered through college until the administration bribed him to leave with two apparently contradictory degrees: theology and electrical engineering.
He is currently working as an electrical engineer, robotics programmer, landlord, part-time farmer, and father of seven. Sometimes he even writes a thing or two.
