Résumé

"Kingdom of God" is one of the key terms of the New Testament but at the same time one of the most controversial. Should we understand God's Kingdom in a dynamic sense as God's present reign or rule, or in a spatial and/or temporal sense as realm and time of salvation? Is the Kingdom already a reality, has it started with Jesus and is in the process of becoming, or is it something that lies still in the future? Is the (be-)coming of the Kingdom a human task or solely God's own activity?This study challenges the prevalent interpretation which understands it predominantly as God's present, "dynamic" rule.
Instead, the argument is made in favour of its understanding as the futuric realm and time of salvation and as such closer to "eternal life" than usually thought.

A propos de Volker Gäckle

Dr. Volker Gäckle ist Professor für Neues Testament und Rektor der Internationalen Hochschule Liebenzell. Dr. Jörg Frey ist Professor für Neutestamentliche Wissenschaft mit Schwerpunkten Antikes Judentum und Hermeneutik an der Universität Zürich und Research Associate der University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, Südafrika. Janowski, Bernd, Prof. em. Dr. theol., geb. 1943, Studium der Evangelischen Theologie, Altorientalistik und Ägyptologie in Tübingen, Promotion 1980, Habilitation 1984.
Nach Professuren in Hamburg und Heidelberg, seit 1995 Professor für Altes Testament in Tübingen. Seit 1996 Ordentliches Mitglied der Heidelberger Akademie der Wissenschaften. Er ist seit 2011 emeritiert. Mitherausgeber der RGG 4. Aufl. sowie der Texte aus der Umwelt des Alten Testaments. Neue Folge (TUAT. NF). Forschungsschwerpunkte: Theologie und Anthropologie des Alten Testaments, Religionsgeschichte Israels, Psalmen. Wichtige Veröffentlichungen: Konfliktgespräche mit Gott.
