The Banduri series continues after the introductory short story (Airmid) and book 1 (Satori). Jack flies to Canada to start a new life with the mother who abandoned him as a baby. Does she want him? Does he want her? Will he have to learn to speak French? He will deal; he always does. Whatever life throws at him, he has managed in the past. But leaving the friends and the environmental group that had become his family over the last few months is a major shock for him.
it's like losing his dad all over again. Angela is an outsider; she has been all her life. She's different from those around her, and she has no idea why. Until she meets Jack, who helps her see who she is and how she can use her nascent abilities. While Jack and Angela meet and get to know each other, the worldwide Environmental Alliance has turned their focus on poaching and animal smuggling across the globe.
Each group attack this problem in their own way. The largest group is relying on prayer. The fastest growing group is using the abilities passed down from their druid and shaman ancestors to encourage people to protect native animals at risk from poachers and smugglers. The all-male group is on a mission to turn animals against those who would attack them, while trying to curb the growing influence of the other groups.
