Résumé
The CONTRAS were a CIA backed mercenary guerrilla group tha had illicit narcotics money channeled to their organization through a shrimp processing warehouse set up by Miami Cubans acting as a front business and the CONTRAS also were beneficiary to a CIA front company operation to receive three Cessna 0-2 aircraft so that their mercenary war against the Sandinistas would be tantamount to the ability of the Vietcong to fight U.
S. troops in Vietnam, with the added benefit of air support. In other words, the CONTRAS were being given their own air capacity to overthrow the Sandinista government and the Sandinistas fought this onslaught with anti-aircraft artillery when their military training center was attacked by CONTRA CIA supplied Cessna aircraft fitted for aerial attack in 1984. Mercenary Cubans of Brigade 2506 that were part of the failed Bay of Pigs operation and hated JFK donated soldiers to the CIA's Contra War in Nicaragua.
In addition, the brutal tactics of the Vietcong that the CIA observed in the Indochina war were transferred by the CIA into Counterterror teams and these same methods that the CIA utlized in these teams as part of the Phoenix Program to engage in atrocities against civilian supporters of the Vietcong shadow government were then used by the Contras that were trained in these methods by CIA and Special Warfare instructors that distributed manuals to the CONTRAS to terrorize civilian peasants that supported the Sandinista revolutionary government that took power in Nicaragua in 1979.
The CIA airdropped other cartoon manuals that encouraged the Nicaraguan peasants to sabotage the Sandinista government through various acts of vandalism to societal infrastructure and this shows that the Sandinistas were being attacked with psychological warfare by the CIA. llopongo air base in El Salvador was used as a staging military base for U. S. weapons to reach the CONTRAS in nearby Nicaragua.
