Cinder Pass

A wounded man crawls to the edge of Juniper Wash with no memory of his name, his past, or who left him for dead. The only clues he carries are a brass key, three cartridges, and a tarnished deputy's badge. When his horse leads him to Buzzard's Bluff, he learns that his name is Merritt Cole-and that he disappeared after accusing Sheriff Orson Kells of murder and theft. As fragments of memory return, Merritt uncovers stolen silver, a buried body, and a plan to burn the entire town.
