This book is thought provoking and disturbing to the Christian who bases his/her beliefs on the traditions of mankind rather than an honest and open study of the Bible. In reading this book, one must remember that "blind acceptance breeds a deadly type of conformity." This book was written because of discrepancies that they discovered in the modern day Church practices that they believe are contrary to those of the first century Church.
These discoveries were made after careful examination of the Bible and exploration of the "original languages" to see what the scriptures really said. The authors determined that, in their opinions, the modern day role of women in Christianity has been determined more by man's distortion and misinterpretation of the scriptures than by God's intent.
