Résumé

A central theme of the book is the possibility of learning and working successfully, even if you have ADHD. Various tools and strategies are presented here that can help improve concentration, control impulsivity, and strengthen organizational skills. This makes it clear that people with ADHD often learn and work differently than their unaffected counterparts, but they do not have to be less successful.
Particular attention is paid to the needs of children with ADHD and their parents. The authors explain how parents can support their children without overwhelming or under-challenging them. Specific tips are given on how everyday school life and learning at home can be better managed, as well as suggestions for a positive parent-child relationship despite the challenges that ADHD brings with it. Another focus of the book is the world of women and girls with ADHD.
ADHD is often less commonly recognized or misdiagnosed in girls because the symptoms can manifest themselves differently than in boys. This book aims to help raise awareness of the specific needs of women and girls with ADHD and help them recognize and utilize their strengths. It is emphasized that ADHD is by no means less common or less severe in women and girls than in men and boys, but is simply perceived differently.
Women with ADHD often have to deal with additional challenges, be it in their professional lives, in social environments or in relationships. adhd adults, adhd aids, learning successfully with adhd, adhd children, the world of women and girls with adhd, adhd is not a flaw, adhd women, adhd book
