Résumé

A feel-good novel from the Master Storyteller!Just when this weary world needs it the most; Paul John Hausleben shares with readers his best effort at making us all feel better about life and the world around us, and puts a smile on reader's faces. What would you do if you received an inheritance of 8 million dollars that had a few stipulations? One: you get to take 4 million dollars for yourself to do with it as you would like to do; quit your job, buy a yacht, travel the world, buy a fancy sports car, invest it, or just bank it and live as you always do.
Two: The remaining 4 million dollars, you must donate this money to good causes, and that is plural; causes. You will need to go on a search; a quest for good. Mr. Kevin Bartlett is a gifted and talented auto mechanic. Kevin has been tinkering with engines, cars, trucks, and anything with motors since he was just a teenager. His first job with the local family-owned auto repair shop ends up being a job for a lifetime.
Patrick "Pops" Jewell owns the local repair shop, and Pops takes Kevin under his wing as both a mentor to his mechanic skills, a best friend, a boss, and a second father to Kevin. Life hits Kevin hard, and Kevin's wife leaves him for another man and takes his two children with her, and Kevin's ex-wife labels him, "Just an auto mechanic."In the depressed aftermath of his divorce, Kevin adopts a basset hound puppy that he names Fred.
Fred, as many dogs are, tends to be more human than canine, and the two of them become inseparable best friends. When Pops Jewell grows old and sadly dies, the reading of Patrick "Pops" Jewell's last will and testament makes Kevin anything but "just an auto mechanic." And Pops, in his wisdom, set the stipulations and added a third: Fred must be part of the quest for good. Join Kevin and Fred as they set out in their travel trailer, towed by their pickup truck, to find the good causes.
Maybe along the way, Kevin finds romance and a new life for Fred and Kevin, too. This is another unforgettable novel and story from the Master Storyteller, with more wonderful characters to add to a long list of PJH fictional characters. Glorious characters who all seem to be more non-fiction rather than fiction and they stick in your mind forever. Pick up your copy today and begin your own quest for good.
