Résumé

A Bowl Full of Marbles: Flashes, Sparks, and Shorts, Flash Five The flashes return! Along with some sparks and shorts too. An entire circuit of reading delight as Paul John Hausleben adds the fifth book of short pieces of fiction to the series "Flash Fiction, Thoughts, Essays, and Short Stories" by Mr. Paul John Hausleben. Are you looking for a book of short reads? Thoughtful stories? Christmas holiday stories? Romance? Some off-beat humor to make you smile and chuckle a bit? Religious thoughts and stories? Well, Paul John Hausleben returns with the fifth book in his popular series of flash fiction, short stories and random thoughts and essays.
And in keeping with the previous books in the series; random is the key word. The stories cover most every subject that you can imagine and a few more, too!In the fifth book for the collection, the author once more mixes up the genres with his meditative thoughts on life with the various sparks, some religion, romance, along with doses of fantasy and emotional outpourings. This time, the author adds a healthy dose of his trademark and classic off-beat humorous stories and thoughts, as he mentions in his author notes, "to jolly" it up a bit.
The book contains another critically acclaimed short story, which is the title story, "A Bowl Full of Marbles, " and one of his greatest humorous flash fiction pieces, "An Interview with an Evil, Mad Scientist." To top it off, PJH includes one of his own photographs to grace the cover in a cover designed by PJH. This is another outstanding collection of thoughts, short stories, flash fiction, and general meanderings in this very popular series, all of which highlight and demonstrate the author's exceptional skills at writing shorter stories and flash fiction pieces.
As did the other books in the series, A Bowl Full of Marbles, Flashes, Sparks, and Shorts, Flash Five will capture the hearts and minds of faithful followers of Mr. Hausleben's previous work, and new readers that first experience the magical storytelling abilities of Mr. Paul John Hausleben.
