Going from a fairy-tale life to a new existence, Gwen Bishop not only had to relocate and learn to live as a single parent, but she needed to adjust to being a completely different person. After fleeing the dangers and chaos of LA's gang wars, where her family had become the  target, she took what she still had of  her family to the only place she could think of that might be safe. Now, she needed to deal with the paranoia she was carrying with her while struggling to give her family the normality they needed.
While doing with everything else, Gwen needed to learn how to be alone.
