Investigative reporter Luc Gagnon deals with facts, not woo-woo stuff.  When his boss assigns him to check an alleged sea monster sighting, Luc is not happy to be wasting time that won't get him the blockbuster story he craves.  Because Luc's former wife believed the impossible, he's wary when he meets the supposed witness, Daria McKenzie, who denies her sighting.  Daria consistently eludes his questions, making him suspect that she's hiding some other secret that could be the very headline he desires.
A reporter at her door is Daria McKenzie's worst nightmare, reminiscent of the tragic media circus her family experienced a decade earlier.  Luc's interrogations endanger the secret she alone is responsible for keeping.  As attraction brings Luc closer, dare she trust him not to exploit her family all over again?  And if she does confide her story, will he choose media fame over love?
