Ochosi: Tracker of the Unseen
Ochosi is the Orisha of hunting. He is a divine tracker, the guardian of justice, and the protector of clear sight. While other Orishas urge us to feel, Ochosi urges us to see: to move through confusion with the patience of a hunter studying the forest, and to strike, when the time is right, with precision instead of force. The book takes Ochosi from Yoruba cosmology through his journey within the diaspora, into Santería, Candomblé, and Haitian Vodou, tracing the development of his sacred tools, his relationship with Ogun, and his function as a spiritual enforcer of fairness and truth.
It looks at focus and discipline as part of a spiritual practice, instructs people in rituals and offerings that are based on tradition, and demonstrates how to set up an altar, interpret the signs of Ochosi, and follow his path in everyday life. This book is both a myth and a guide as well as an invitation for anyone who is ready to give up wandering and begin to aim accurately, toward justice, toward clarity, and toward freedom.
