Résumé

"Africa, as it is pictured on the cover page, has always shed its light onto the Americas. The first heading : Africa in the American and Caribbean Literary Imagination encompasses pithy and sententious texts on the image of Africa and Africans. They are : "The Image of Africa in Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun, followed by" Enquiring Igbo Presence in North America : The Trans-Atlantic Reading of Olaudah Equiano's Cultural and Diasporic Discourse in The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano or Gustavus Vassa".
The next one is An African-American in the Death Row in Ernest J. Gaines's Of Love and Dust. The fouth one in that first part is : From Race Matters by Cornel West to the Movement of "Black Lives Matter" : The Shift of Paradigm of the African-American Leadership and Activism". The fifth and last one is in Spanish : "La Inversion Del Mito Este Dundo De Alejo Carpentier Caso de Africa en Haiti". The second heading : African Values in American and Caribbean Cultures, comprises articles of high quality as well, going from : "In Search of the Africana Warrior Woman", followed by : "Du Reggae au Dancehall : l'identité noire dans la musique populaire jamaïcaine".
The third one is : "Connecting the Place of Woman and Education in Millenium Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals to the Political Thought of Elizabeth Cady Stanton". The last one alludes to the conditions of Blacks in : Designing a US Constitutional Proxy and an Original Badge. Although all the contributions highlight the representations of Africa or Africans in American and Caribbean Studies, they also underscore a common humanistic concern ; whether on society, culture or environment.
Africa is known to be the craddle of humanity and the main inspirational source to a lot of world authors, especially the American and Caribbean ones. " Pr Louis Mendy
