Résumé
Le présent ouvrage réunit les actes d'un colloque international (Toulouse, 15-16 février 2013) sur les aqueducs et l'ingénierie hydraulique romaine en France et en Espagne, territoires qui ont vu depuis plusieurs années une multiplication d'études innovantes sur ce thème. Les travaux portent sur des découvertes inédites ou de nouvelles approches de structures archéologiques étudiées anciennement. Les contributions ont été organisées selon trois thèmes principaux : les aspects techniques des ouvrages hydrauliques, l'actualité des recherches et les études pluridisciplinaires.
Au total, c'est près d'une trentaine d'articles qui sont présentés par plus de cinquante chercheurs européens relevant d'universités, de centres de recherches, de collectivités locales et régionales ou encore de responsables d'opérations issus de l'archéologie préventive. The present work brings together the deliberations of an international congress (Toulouse, February 15-16th, 2013) on aqueducts and Roman hydraulic engineering in France and Spain, territories which for several years have seen an increase in innovative studies on this theme.
The works concern new discoveries or new approaches to archaeological structures studied previously. The contributions were organized according to three main themes : the technical aspects of the hydraulic works, the current status of the research and multidisciplinary studies. Overall, it consists of nearly thirty articles, which are presented by more than fifty European researchers from universities, research centres, local and regional authorities or even persons in charge of excavations stemming from emergency archaeology.
