Suite. For alto saxophone and piano op.55

Suite consists of six short virtuoso pieces for alto saxophone and piano. Fazil Say composed the work in 2014 on commission of the legendary saxophone virtuoso Nobuya Sugawa with whom he performed the world premiere in Tokyo. The pieces are inspired by Turkish music, rhythms, dances, folklore... and composed in modal and sometimes atonal character. Besetzung : alto saxophone and piano op. 55
