Whispering of Finnish composer Einojuhani Rautavaara was commissioned by American violinist Hilary Hahn as part of her CD project "Encores". During her stage life Hilary Hahn noticed a lack of exciting works by contemporary composers to dazzle audiences at the end of concerts. Whispering is Rautavaara's encore piece for Hilary Hahn and his contribution to her interesting project. Instrumentation : violin and piano
