Ruth Asawa (1926-2013) combined family and art with the true feeling that each made the other stronger. She also worked hard to bring art into public schools in San Francisco, teaching and making sure all children have time to be creative in the classroom. Creating brought her joy, and her exceptional outpouring of art has inspired many to make their own work.
