Résumé

Typology—Paris, Delhi, São Paulo, Athens Over two years of academic research as Professors at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Emanuel Christ, Christoph Gantenbein and their Research Team analysed a selection of 200 buildings from Paris, Delhi, São Paulo and Athens. This collection of 20th-century metropolitan and essentially unknown building development represents a systematic yet subjective compilation of urban architecture.
Additionally, Rafael Moneo's historical essay "On Typology" provides a theoretical framework to the research. Review N°111 This is the third in a series planned over the coming years to explore themes arising from Christ & Gantenbein's own architectural work. Typology—Paris, Delhi, São Paulo, Athens is the second volume after Typology—Hong Kong, Rome, New York, Buenos Aires, published by the same authors in 2012.
