Résumé

String beans, spaghetti, ZOOOOP, roast beef, fresh fish, chicken and ice cream are the delicious fare during the week in this popular children's song. Until Sunday. Then, all the world's children are invited to come together and share in the meal. Celebrated artist Eric Carle brings new energy and heart to these much-loved verses as lively animals parade across the pages, munching on favorite dishes, and introducing young readers to the names of the days of the week.
Both art and song invite children of all ages to join the procession and sing along.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie d'Eric Carle

Eric Carle, born in Syracuse, New York, moved with his family to Stuttgart, Germany, at the age of six. He attended school there and studied graphic design at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste. Returning to New York as a young man, he began a career in commercial art before discovering the world of children's books. He authored his first picture book, 1, 2, 3 to the Zoo, in 1968, and since then has written and illustrated over three dozen books, including the classic The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which has sold over 50 million copies worldwide, in 66 languages.
Today Is Monday was originally illustrated as a frieze by Mr. Carle in 1977. Years later, however, he was inspired anew to adapt the song for a picture book. Eric Carle lives in the Florida Keys.
