Biographie de Gary Deng

Dr. Gary DENG is the Medical Director of Integrative Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and Clinical Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University in New York City. Dr. Deng's professional expertise is patient-centered holistic supportive care for cancer patients. He aims to improve patient experience and quality of life, optimize their internal and external environments, strengthen their physical and mental resilience, enhance treatment outcome, speed up recovery, and reduce risk of disease recurrence and complications - all so they can achieve optimal health and wellness.
Dr. Deng received his medical degree from Beijing Medical University, and his PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his clinical training at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, and his research training at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Since 2003, he has built a robust integrative physician practice, which has become a highly utilized and trusted resource for the Cancer Center.
He has taken a leadership role in the emerging and evolving field of integrative oncology, and is active in conducting research and developing innovations in the field, including nutritional plans, botanical agents, yoga, and acupuncture. Dr. Deng is a keen home cook and has crafted the recipes in this book from his own experience of cooking delicious, nutritious food within the time constraints of his busy work schedule.
