Ekow Eshun is a writer and curator. He is Chairman of the Fourth Plinth, overseeing one of the foremost public art programmes in the UK, and author of books including In the Black Fantastic (2022) and Black Gold of the Sun (2006), shortlisted for the Orwell Prize. Esi Edugyan is a Canadian author. She is winner of the Scotiabank Giller Prize for novels Half-Blood Blues (2011) and Washington Black (2018), also shortlisted for the Booker Prize.
Her essay collection Out of the Sun : Essays at the Crossroads of Race published in 2022. Bernardine Evaristo FRSL, OBE is an author and academic. She is Professor of Creative Writing at Brunel University London and President of the Royal Society of Literature. Evaristo won the Booker Prize with her novel Girl, Woman, Other (2019). Professor Dorothy Price FBA is Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art and Critical Race Art History at The Courtauld Institute of Art.
