À propos de l'auteur

Biographie d'Anthony Horowitz

Anthony Horowitz is one of the most popular and prolific children's writers working today. He says that The Power of Five books were inspired by a simple thought. "Would it be possible to write something like The Lord of the Rings - but to set it here, now, in the real world? Why does so much fantasy have to be so foreign? Why do you have to invent places such as Narnia or Middle Earth? Isn't it more exciting to imagine these great battles with all their magic and mystery happening in the very high street where you live ...
just out of the corner of your eye? This has been at the heart of my work for the last twenty years." Anthony's hugely successful Alex Rider series, which includes Stormbreaker, Point Blanc, Skeleton Key, Eagle Strike, Scorpia and Ark Angel, has won numerous awards and sold over eight million copies worldwide. In 2003 he was delighted to win the Red House Children's Book Award for Skeleton Key because it was voted for entirely by children.
He also writes extensively for TV, with programmes including Midsomer Murders, Poirot, and the drama series Foyle's War, which won the Lew Grade Audience Award in 2003. He is married to television producer Jill Green and lives in north London with his two sons, Nicholas and Cassian, and their dog, Lew.
